Noosa is situated in Queensland, 160 km north of Brisbane,1100
km north of Sydney and 250 km north of the Gold Coast
at 26º39 S and 153º5E. Driving from central
Brisbane or Brisbane airport is a pleasant 90 minute
drive along the Bruce Highway. From the Gold Coast the
drive to Noosa will take about 2 and half hours. Turn
off at the intersection for Eumundi which is also signposted
to Noosa Heads. Noosa can be reached by train, by bus
or use a pre booked transfer from Brisbane or Sunshine
Coast Airports.
Noosa Transfers from airports
The best way to reach Noosa is to use one of the transfer
services that operate from both Brisbane airport and
Sunshine Coast Airport. The courier will meet you at
the baggage carousel for domestic arrivals and in the

A good way for a luxury transfer is to pre book a
limousine. Noosa

transfers in a range of cars from both Brisbane Airport
and Sunshine Coast Airport. Suncoast Pacific (07 5443
1011) operate coach services to Brisbane Airport and
Brisbane city.
Sunshine Coast Airport
Sunshine Coast Airport (07 5453 1511) is located in Marcoola which is just north
of Maroochydore and about 25 minutes drive along the coast to Noosa. Sunshine
Coast Airport is a pleasant small airport. Virgin Blue
and Jetstar have recently
increased their flights and offer some good deals from Sydney and Melbourne
(also check Jetstar for the Adelaide service). Tiger Airways is a low cost
airline which commenced services in the Australian domestic airline market
in November 2007. They fly from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast using Airbus
A320-200 aircraft. The airport has paid parking, licensed bar, bistro and several
shops.

From Brisbane Queensland Railway (07

to Nambour with a railbus connection to Noosa from Nambour.
This is available as one ticket. Trains depart from Central Station or Roma Station in
Brisbane.To obtain train times and ticket prices use the Queensland
Transinfo journey planner. Just type in your departure
details and arrival location and the planner will work
it all out for you. The planner works for all of South
East Queensland The train stops at Nambour and has a
bus connection to Noosa Heads and Noosaville. An alternative is to take the train to Eumundi or Cooroy which are closer to Noosa if someone is meeting you by car.

operates regular buses a day from Roma Street
Transit in central Brisbane with a stop at Brisbane
airport about 30 minutes later. The trip to Noosa takes
about 3 hours with several stops in the town.
