Noosa Enduro - July 12th,2009

The Noosa Enduro is on again and promises to deliver some exciting new concepts. The team at USM EVENTS have been working hard in the off season to scout new and improved trails and have come up with a fantastic new route for the avid Enduro rider.

The Noosa Enduro is well-regarded as one of Australia's most exciting and challenging endurance races, held in one of the world's most popular destinations - Queensland's, Sunshine Coast. Now in its third year the event's growth has forced organizers to re-locate the start/finish from Tewantin to 2007 check point one at Stan Topper Park, Pomona. This opens up a whole new playground of trails.

The new look course offers the best of last years trails as well as some great new stuff that will not disappoint. The event incorporates two lively and diverse 50km courses. The advanced 50km course loops out of Pomona; a gut busting, hill climbing route incorporating the mighty ‘Mother', the Cooran tablelands and the descent into the township of Kin Kin. The intermediate 50km course is a faster flowing yet tantalizing loop de loop through the Ringtail forest. The 100km will combine the best of both worlds with the 50km racers having a choice of courses.

This is the mountain bike adventure race you don't want to miss!! www.usmevents.com.au

Noosa Historic Hill Climb - Saturday 14th November - Sunday 15th November 2009

The Historic Noosa Hill Climb, affectionately known as 'The Hill', had its inaugural run in 1998 and has just recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary. 'The Hill' is a combined event run by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club and the Historic Racing Car Club (Qld).

Over these 12 years The Hill has developed into a first class event with many well known racing personalities from across Australia as well as local Queensland racing identities all vying to be the fastest on the day.

The Hill is seductively attractive to drivers. Fourteen corners in lightning succession are a few too many for easy recollection – and they all have their tricks. There is a good hot mix surface – thanks to the support of Noosa Council, plus the spice of steep banks on one side, (offering an easy route to inversion) and of awesome drop-offs on the other.

With Split Second Timing and automated traffic light starting systems, cars get away at intervals of less than 30 seconds and gives The Hill climb participants the potential to achieve 6 runs per day. There are usually 3 cars climbing The Hill simultaneously – and the commentator can pass on the information to the public as it happens.

The Hill also provides excellent viewing for spectators too – unlike many sprint venues, and the ambience of the pits is irresistible. Food and coffee vendors are available at a number of sites.

The Hill has won the respect of the traditional landowners and of the Noosa Parks & Wild Life Services and Environmental Protection Agency, who recognising the care that our spectators show for the living forest, continue to allow public access to the spectator areas via the walking track.

SPECTATORS:
Gates open from 8am – 4pm on each day

ADMISSION:
Weekend Pass (2days) $20 (children under 14 free if accompanied by an adult)
Day Pass $15 (children under 14 free if accompanied by an adult)

Free shuttle bus will operate between Gyndier Drive and Tewantin Sports Ground on each day.
